What the AIF Grant Program Offers
Selected organizations will kick off with a dynamic online training program tailored to mastering individual donor campaigns. Following the training, participants will dive into a 30-day fundraising challenge, with the chance to unlock up to $5,000 in matching funds to amplify their impact.
Top-performing organizations from the challenge will receive an exclusive invitation to attend a week-long intensive fundraising workshop in Kigali, Rwanda, covering:
- Financial management
- Grant writing
- Donor research
- Individual donor campaigns
- Communications and marketing
- Local fundraising strategies
- Donor cultivation and retention
Eligibility Criteria
Only organizations legally registered in one of the 55 African Union member states are entitled to apply. Unfortunately, individuals and organizations registered outside Africa are not permitted, and unprompted applications are not accepted.
Program Benefits
- Up to 70 organizations will get foundational training on donor engagement and fundraising.
- $5,000 in matching funds is available during the 30-day fundraising challenge.
- All selected participants will receive 12 months of free fiscal sponsorship from the New Africa Fund (with a possible extension).
- Up to 10 top performers will attend the fully funded workshop in Kigali, Rwanda.
- Access to additional performance-based funding opportunities as the program expands.
