This is the latest YEIDEP Disbursement News Today, July 2nd, 2025
StartSmart Nigeria gathered that as of today, July 2, 2025, there has been no official update from the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD) or the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Programme (YEIDEP) regarding the expected disbursement of funds to applicants.
The program, which focuses on empowering Nigerian youth with financial support ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦500,000, was initially expected to begin disbursing funds starting July 1. However, the ministry has made no public statement confirming the start or any delay.
In the absence of official communication, a circular claiming that the disbursement has been halted has started going viral widely on social media platforms like Facebook. The document outlines a new timeline, stating that applications will now close on August 31, beneficiary account details will be collected from September 1 to 10, and disbursements will take place between October 20 and 30.
While the circular appears well-designed and includes what seems to be official branding and social media handles, it has not been verified by any government agency. According to a reliable source close to the program, “Neither FMYD nor YEIDEP has issued any communication suggesting the disbursement schedule has changed.”

Applicants are reminded that earlier communication from the program clearly stated that disbursement is expected to take place at any time between July 1 and July 31. No exact date was promised, and the process remains ongoing.
Many applicants have expressed concern online, with some worried about whether the disbursement will happen at all. However, others remain hopeful and are urging fellow applicants to stay calm and avoid panic.
To avoid falling for misinformation or scams, applicants are strongly advised to:
- Rely only on verified updates from FMYD and YEIDEP
- Avoid sharing sensitive personal information, especially BVN, on unofficial websites
- Disregard any information that cannot be traced to an official government platform
The wait continues, but until there is official word from the appropriate authorities, all other claims should be treated with caution. StartSmart Nigeria will continue to monitor developments closely and provide accurate updates as they come.
