Nnamdi Kanu news. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has openly admitted to founding both IPOB and the media platform Radio Biafra. Kanu made this declaration on Tuesday at the Federal High Court in Abuja during an ongoing trial.
According to Kanu, he created IPOB and Radio Biafra to promote the welfare and interests of the Igbo people. Speaking on the nature of his broadcasts, he emphasized their transparency and public accessibility.
“All my broadcasts were public and available to everyone. IPOB is not a secret organization,” he told the court.
“I Worked Alone,” Says Kanu
During the session, the Department of State Services (DSS) questioned Kanu about possible collaborators. He firmly denied working with anyone else, stating he handled all Radio Biafra activities personally and independently.
Court Orders Video Playback
In a significant development, the presiding judge ordered that a video recording of Kanu’s interrogation by the DSS be played in open court. This decision is expected to offer additional context in the ongoing trial.
Kanu’s statements reaffirm his central role in IPOB’s foundation and operations, as legal proceedings continue to draw national attention.
