JAMB 2025. As the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) continues preparation for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), StartSmart Nigeria’s most important updates have emerged today, 22nd March 2025.
Candidates and stakeholders are counseled to remain alert, as multiple key announcements and changes are already shaping the road to this year’s exams.
The Mock Exam Is Just 14 Days Away. The countdown to the 2025 JAMB mock examination is now underway. With only 14 days remaining, those who registered for the optional mock should begin preparing more seriously. The exam is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2025. As previously announced by JAMB, the mock reprint slip will be available for all candidates to print beginning Thursday, March 28, 2025. This slip will include the mock venue, time, and exam details.
Candidates are encouraged to reprint early and locate their exam centers ahead of time to avoid last-minute stress or confusion.
Main UTME Reprint Begins April 17 JAMB has set April 17, 2025, as the start date for the UTME reprinting process. This is when all candidates will be able to print their exam slips showing the exact date, time, and CBT center for their main examination. The UTME will begin on April 25 and end on May 5, 2025. It is important to note that no two candidates will write at the same time in the same place without being carefully scheduled. JAMB uses a batch system, so everyone’s slip is unique. If you miss your scheduled exam time, you will not be allowed to reschedule, no matter the excuse. Over 2 Million Registered for UTME 2025 As previously reported, over 2,030,627 candidates registered for the 2025 UTME, while over 200,000 candidates indicated interest in writing the mock exam. The massive turnout shows just how competitive this year’s exam will be. JAMB continues to urge all candidates to study seriously, avoid distractions, and make good use of CBT training apps to prepare for the exam format. Data Mismatch: JAMB Sanctions CBT Centers In a recent crackdown on irregularities, JAMB sanctioned 132 CBT centers across the country due to issues involving candidate data mismatches during registration. These errors affected 200 candidates, who are now being called to visit any JAMB office to correct their records. All registration officers responsible have been permanently banned from future JAMB exercises, and the affected centers have been issued final warnings. This move is part of JAMB’s ongoing commitment to ensuring integrity in the exam process.
Important Reminder for Candidates: JAMB has once again emphasized that candidates must bring their exam slip on the day of their mock or main UTME. This slip is the only acceptable proof of exam schedule, and without it, candidates will be denied access to the hall. JAMB also warns candidates against bringing banned items such as mobile phones, smartwatches, USB devices, calculators, or any electronic gadgets to the exam hall. Possession of such items could lead to automatic disqualification. Final Words: With just two weeks to the mock and barely a month to the main UTME, this is the time for candidates to stay focused, avoid social media distractions, and invest their time in meaningful revision. JAMB has promised a fair and transparent process for all, and well-prepared candidates will surely have a better chance of success.
